The rapid growth of Indonesia’s digital economy has created new opportunities for women entrepreneurs (womenpreneurs) to participate in business activities through digital platforms, social commerce, and financial technology. However, despite increasing digital inclusivity, women entrepreneurs continue to face structural, social, and technological challenges within the digital entrepreneurial ecosystem. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of womenpreneurs in navigating opportunities and barriers within Indonesia’s digital economy. Using a qualitative approach with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with women entrepreneurs actively operating digital-based businesses. The findings reveal that digital platforms provide flexible economic opportunities, broader market access, and financial empowerment for women. Nevertheless, womenpreneurs continue to experience gender-based constraints, including digital literacy gaps, limited access to resources, patriarchal norms, and the double burden of domestic and entrepreneurial responsibilities. The study also highlights the important role of digital communities, social networks, and financial technology in strengthening women’s adaptive capabilities and business sustainability. Theoretically, this research contributes to the literature on digital entrepreneurship and gender inclusivity by providing a phenomenological perspective on womenpreneurs’ experiences in emerging digital economies. Practically, the study emphasizes the need for gender-responsive digital policies, inclusive digital literacy programs, and stronger institutional support for women entrepreneurs.
