Pengaruh Work-Life Integration Terhadap Meaningful Work Pada Generasi Z di Kota Makassar

This study was conducted to qualitatively analyze the influence of work-life integration on meaningful work among Generation Z in Makassar City. The background of this research is driven by the growing need for Generation Z to achieve flexible work that balances personal life, which often creates a dilemma in finding true work meaning. The originality of this study lies in its focus on Generation Z in Makassar City, a topic that has not been widely explored in the context of work-life integration and meaningful work. The purpose of this study is to understand how the integration of work and personal life shapes the perception of meaningful work among Generation Z. This research employed a qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The empirical findings reveal that flexible work-life integration can enhance the sense of meaningful work, but if not properly managed, it may lead to emotional exhaustion and role conflict. The results also emphasize the critical role of organizations in creating supportive work environments to optimize work-life integration. The conclusion of this study highlights that effective management of work-life integration is essential to developing meaningful work for Generation Z in Makassar City. This research offers theoretical and practical contributions related to adaptive human resource management for the needs of the younger workforce in the digital era.
