Peran Koperasi Mahasiswa Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Anggota Pada Koperasi Mahasiwa “Almamater’’ Universitas Negeri Makassar

Abstract

The results of this research show that the UNM "Almamater" Student Cooperative still plays an important role in the welfare of its members, seeing from the responses of several member informants who are still helped by the existence of business units available and programs provided by the Kopma management which have a positive impact on supporting the welfare of their members. There are limited business units available due to degradation in recent years due to Covid 19, but the Student Cooperative continues to strive to provide an important role in the welfare of its members by maximizing existing business units and creating programs that have a positive impact on the welfare of members. Currently, the cooperative has three business units, namely Kopma Store 1, Library Mini Market, and Kopma Pentol, which play an important role in meeting the needs of members on campus. Efforts to improve members' welfare, such as education and training, are also carried out by cooperatives. However, several obstacles are still faced, including lack of member awareness, limited business capital, manual transaction recording, and less strategic accessibility of business units. To overcome these obstacles, cooperatives propose several strategies, such as opening new businesses, increasing business capital, increasing member awareness, and building collaboration with stakeholders. In this way, the cooperative hopes to continue to improve the welfare of its members and become a center for entrepreneurship and cooperative development in the campus environment.
